Booking.com names Rotorua in the world’s top trending travel destinations

Rotorua has been named among the top 10 trending global destinations by major travel website Booking.com.

It comes as the tourism hotspot’s business community anticipates a positive year ahead, with more than 100 companies across 20 industries seeing visitors returning to the city.

Booking.com looked at customer bookings for travel in the coming two years that were made in the 12 months to the end of July.

The top 1000 most-booked places were ranked by year-over-year increase.

Florida city named on New York Times’ top travel destinations list

P-Town, Boston recognized as top 2024 travel destinations by Tripadvisor

A handful of New England towns and cities are among Massachusetts-based Tripadvisor’s top picks in the first of its annual “Travelers Choice Awards” for 2024, recognizing the “Best of the Best Destinations” sought after by the platform’s reviewers.

In a news release Tuesday, Tripadvisor said its rankings differ from other “best places to travel in 2024″ lists by highlighting the “most loved destinations from 2023,” the “trending hotspots for 2024,” and “travelers’ top-rated spots for every type of trip” — based on the reviews and ratings from actual travelers who have visited these places in the past year.

Caribbean named most popular travel destination for Louisiana residents, study says

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A new study revealed the top travel destinations for each US state.

Places to Travel looked at Google Trends data to find the top destinations for each state, according to a release.

“The study on travel brings to light interesting trends,” said Jason Wilson, CEO of Places to Travel. “It shows a variety of preferences across the nation, indicating diverse interests among Americans. Texas Hill Country town named top family-friendly travel destination

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A popular Texas Hill Country town was named the top family-friendly travel destination in the United States.

Fredericksburg beat out places like Napa, California, Breckenridge, Colorado, and Virginia Beach, Virginia, for the No. 1 spot, on a recent list from Yelp.

Yelp highlighted some family-friendly activities that Fredericksburg offers, including exploring the town’s German roots at the Pioneer Museum, seeing the wildflowers at Wildseed Farms and hiking Enchanted Rock nearby.
